18" Black Bisque Doll Glass Side Glance Eyes 1977 Reproduction African American

Description

I am liquidating part of my grandmothers estate. She was an expert doll collector and restorer for 60 plus years.
18" Black Bisque Doll.
She has a bisque head with brown glass side glance eyes, painted lashes, a closed mouth and a black human hair wig.
She is on a cloth body with bisque arms to the shoulders and bisque legs to mid thigh. She has a crier in her tummy and cries when moved.
Dressed in a Railroad outfit with hat and neck scarf. Clothes are handmade.
This doll is a reproduction.
COND. - Excellent - No chips, cracks, damage or marks. Nice even paint, smooth bisque and all fingers and toes.
MARK - Incised on head - Frankie, below that - 1977, below that - Doll - Lain, below that - USA
There is a tag on the wig that says - 100% Cheveux Naturles, below that - Made in France

It is my understanding that these repro's were made from the original molds, then dated, signed and painted by the artist.
Inventory card reads - Black Repro in RR outfit.
Stand is not included.
I took the clothes off to take pictures. I am not putting them back on, but they are included.
I did not take the wig off this doll since her eyes are stationary. She does have a pate.
This doll is sold "As Is".
