Gorgeous AMBER Carnival Glass BEADED SHELL 4" Mug by Imperial, in excellent undamaged contemporary condition, WITH A POSSIBLE SLIGHT POLISH ON THE RIM. This wonderful mug is a souvenir of the American Carnival Glass Association's 1971 convention on July Fourth in Cincinnati, OH. This design is a hybrid of Dugan's Beaded Shell and God & Home with a silhouette of the State of Ohio and the God & Home shields superimposed over the beaded shells.

SOUVENIRS
While Fenton Art Glass Company produced the lion's share of Carnival and other Glass Club souvenirs issued over the years mainly at Club conventions, Imperial and Indiana Glass also received commissions from Carnival and other clubs. Some souvenirs were reproductions of original patterns, some  were  re-interpretations of classic patterns, while still others were a blending of original Era-specific patterns.  All were modified to include the Club name, and convention / function / award particulars.

Contemporary Condition
refers to the lack of production issues which plagued antique glassware. Modern glassware is relatively free of those production issues due to modernized machinery, advances in glass making chemistry, and quality control. Even so, because modern Art Glass is generally still hand shaped, hand-painted and/or hand-iridized, each piece is technically a one-of-a-kind, and you may still find a minor production issue from time to time.
