Description
Hello. I have owned this watch winder for many years, but it has spent most of that time in storage. It is time for me to part with it.I'll cover the bad stuff first. I will start at a low price because of the issues with this winder. Please read carefully.
The winder on the left is not working properly. The switch seems to work and sometimes the winder will begin turning but even then it is very slow. I have never taken the winder apart to try to fix it so this could be a simple and obvious problem or it could be something complicated.
I don't have the power cord. I have tested it with batteries (2 C-size batteries for each side). I believe that a replacement 4.5V power cord should be easy to find, but I'll leave that to you if you want to go the corded route.
While the overall physical condition of the wood and fabric lining is very good, it is not perfect. There is a noticable spot where a watch has removed the velvet nap of the fabric above it. There are a few dark dots on one of the pillows. While there are no large scratches on the wood, there are many small ones that show in the light.
On the positive side, the workmanship of the inlaid wood and the overall finish is top notch. The timed mode always kept my watches wound and ready to go without the worry of excess wear that could come from constant winding.
With the lid closed, the winder is very quiet (I had it in my bedroom and did not notice it).
I also have all of the original materials including inner and outer boxes and the instructions card.
Questions welcome. Happy bidding.
