In the year 1926 Mr. Edgardo Rustioni completed his apprenticeship and qualified as an “Artigiano Pellettiere”, a leather craftsman in the age-old tradition of Italian leather craftsmanship.
The company was founded in the year 1945, and since then, has remained in the hands of the Rustioni family. At the beginning the company specialised in handcrafted leather goods, producing leather desk accessories, jewellery boxes and a variety of gift items in leather.
Over the years the product range has been substant all increased to include also small leather goods, briefcases and executive business items.
In 1990 the company launched a comprehensive collection of leather goods, watches and pens, including also the unique “Underwood Modular Winding System” a modular system of watch winders specifically designed with the watch collector in mind, to safely store and maintain automatic watches.
Today the company has still own workshop in Italy : Underwood (London) Srl which is the Head Office of Underwood group.
All Underwood products are manufacture in the factory of the Italian brand.
